This was going to be an assault, a full-on, guns blazing attack on the New England Patriots and the unsportsmanlike, classless way in which they have run up the score on a host of opponents this season.

But upon further review, as an NFL referee might put it, we just can't do it. We can't work up a decent amount of outrage over the way the Pats are rubbing other teams' noses in it, as they did in their 56-10 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night. Truth be told, we're actually kind of enjoying it.

he Patriots make all of that seem possible with their precision and their relentlessness, especially on offense. It's hard to criticize Belichick for leaving the Brady Bunch in longer than necessary when it's so entertaining to watch them perform.

Would the opposing team actually appreciate their opponents "taking it easy on them" I would think they would be insulted. The game ain't over till the fat lady sings. Minnie didn't couldn't take her eyes off the game last nigh as she watched the Red Sox win their 2nd World Series in 4 years.

Heading to Denver now for Game 3, the Red Sox hold a 2 games to none lead and for Kurt Schilling, as he waved to the Boston Faithful, it could be his last game in Fenway.

There's a growing sentiment around the NFL that the New England Patriots are piling on, needlessly tacking on points at the end of games to flog their opponents to a much greater degree.
Did Bill Belichick really have to bring Tom Brady back into Sunday's game at Miami, his team still up 21 points? Or how about the week before against Dallas, when Kyle Eckel plowed in from the 1-yard line with 19 seconds left to play on fourth down, the team already ahead by two scores? Wouldn't taking a knee have sufficed?
While Belichick eloquently has defended those plays, there's still a pretty good case to be made against him. The Pats could very well be found guilty of running up the score in more than a few of their first seven games.

Well Terry and JD must be reading the blog....OKAY I doubt it. But Francona did play Ellsbury and removed not Drew...whew, he hit the 1st inning Grand Slam for the Red Sox last night, but Coco Crisp. Crisp has been great in center field but unable to get a bat on the ball.

Ellsbury is the future Red Sox center fielder and while he got a hit last night, he also had a couple of baad at bats. Made a great effort to catch a ball at the wall, had he just played it off the wall it would have been a double instead of a triple but we had a big lead at the time.

Scary Moment...Gagne closed it in the ninth, but when he came out everyone I was watching it with remarked that it was a good thing we had a 10 run lead...

Down 3 games to 1 to the Cleveland Indians in the American League Championship Series, the Red Sox will have to summon up some magic or maybe just start hitting and pitching a little better, here are some of my ideas!!

Francona has to start acting like a Manager and manage...take Drew out of Right Field and put in Ellsbury...we need hitting, base running and overall enthusiasm to play and win..Drew shows none of those characteristics GET HIM OUT OF THE LINE-UP.

Fire Gagne and NEVER EVER LET HIM PITCH for the Red Sox again, I thought Theo's biggest mistake was paying 14 million/year for Drew but Gagne is definitely the biggest bust. The Red Sox gave up a promising Rookie Starting Pitcher who had already won 4 or 5 games without a loss for Gagne..He's a fricking LOSER.

PutVisine in the Cleveland Indians Gatorade...they'll get runs but they will be on the way to the bathroom and not home plate.

Game 3 Coming

Today the focus for me is the New England Patriots vs Dallas Cowboys. The way Dallas played last week against Buffalo tells me what I already believe to be true...The Pat's are a much better team and should take the Cowboys apart today. I do think Dallas will play New England tougher than they did with Buffalo but ultimately I think the Pats are a superior team in every aspect of the game.

Thankyou Red Sox Management for not getting Roger Clemens!!! Everyone looks at his stats but the man is not worth the money or aggravation. Boston Fans must remember how upset he got having to carry his own luggage, poor baby.

Conveniently getting his finger bit before a start...had to save that arm since he was already planning to leave the Sox.

I'd take Bill Buckner over Roger Clemens any day of the week. Bill had heart and soul, to this day I will argue endlessly with Red Sox fans who blame Bill for losing a world series for us...Bad coaching decisions coupled with No Decisions for Roger Clemens in the series were the biggest contributors to the Sox losing to the Mets.

The other day over a beer at a local pub someone suggested that we get Clemens and get rid of Wakefield...What a mistake that would have been, Wakefield is a through and through Red Sox man. Clemens chases the bucks. The allegations last year re. Steroid use, all the special considerations he demands with his contract.....he's a bum, egotistical and the only joy I get from watching him is seeing him lose...

Can't wait to see him face the Sox!!
